I have a new toy … couldn’t help myself so I rushed out to buy one first thing this morning after last night’s tip on the dpreview.com forums that Best Buy had them already.

This is what I’ve done so far with it.

Really, just by looking at the link above you probably couldn’t justify the upgrade. Most of the shots could have been taken with my trusty old Nikon 995, no?

A few things that I love:

• Composing from the viewfinder, rather than the LCD.
• Having a 28 mm. range at my disposal again.
• Interchangeable optics … soon I’ll be back in the saddle with a tele zoom.
• No shutter lag,
• The ergonomics of an SLR.

Yes, you could say I am excited.
