The integrated network card sputters and now I am left with only WiFi via USB dongle to effectively use that machine.<\/p>\n<p>Amazing how useless a computer feels these days when no network connectivity is at hand.  But that is another topic entirely.<\/p>\n<p>What to do?  Call American Express, of course!  Let me explain: under the terms of the<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www124.americanexpress.com\/cards\/benefits\/buyersassurance.jsp?source=soabluefromamericanexpress\">American Express: Buyer&#8217;s Assurance Plan<\/a> your warranty is extended to double the original manufacturers&#8217;, which means that since I bought this April 2004 I am in luck!<\/p>\n<p>The claim (#1840819) is that they will refund the charge to the card if everything goes according to plan.
