{"id":37,"date":"2003-09-13T01:05:38","date_gmt":"2003-09-13T08:05:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jjmata.com\/wp-acr\/?p=37"},"modified":"2003-09-13T01:05:38","modified_gmt":"2003-09-13T08:05:38","slug":"new-toy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/jjmata.com\/?p=37","title":{"rendered":"New toy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I have <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dpreview.com\/reviews\/canoneos300d\/\">a new toy<\/a> &#8230; couldn&#8217;t help myself so I rushed out to buy one first thing this morning after last night&#8217;s tip on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dpreview.com\/forums\/forum.asp?forum=1031\">dpreview.com<\/a> forums that Best Buy had them already.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.shutterfly.com\/osi.jsp?i=67b0de21b32fe25e4512\">This<\/a> is what I&#8217;ve done so far with it.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nReally, just by looking at the link above you probably couldn&#8217;t justify the upgrade.  Most of the shots could have been taken with my trusty old Nikon 995, no?<\/p>\n<p>A few things that I love:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li> Composing from the viewfinder, rather than the LCD. <\/li>\n<li> Having a 28 mm. range at my disposal again. <\/li>\n<li> Interchangeable optics &#8230; soon I&#8217;ll be back in the saddle with a tele zoom. <\/li>\n<li> No shutter lag, <\/li>\n<li> The ergonomics of an SLR. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Yes, you could say I am excited.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I have a new toy &#8230; couldn&#8217;t help myself so I rushed out to buy one first thing this morning after last night&#8217;s tip on the dpreview.com forums that Best Buy had them already.
